After years as a software engineer in the finance industry, I finally accepted that I am simply not built for an office job. Unsure of my next steps, I chose to start with what I long for. In continuous pursuit of this undertaking, we use tea. The world of tea is vast and wide (and tasty), touching numerous nations and cultures as the second most globally consumed beverage after water. Tea accesses a manifold of ‘pockets’, reaching into and influencing our understanding of agriculture, ecology, food and beverage, and even medicine.
Hideaway Tea Co.’s simple mission is this – to draw international bridges across diversity, to spread kindness, and to increase communal respect for our planet. We do these things by discovering and serving the best, perhaps the rarest, tea that we can find. I hope you’ll join us on this journey of sorts and perhaps learn something new.
