Dan Cong literally translates to ‘single bush’, which traditionally referred to tea originating from a single tree. However, today the term encompasses tea which is sourced from the same cultivar and regional bushes of Phoenix Mountain in Guangdong Province, Southern China. As a semi-oxidized tea, finished Dan Cong teas are known to bring out complex, unique flavors and have been observed to offer numerous health benefits.
